Since competing in our pageant, Taylor Gildersleeve’s acting career has really taken off!┬áTaylor competed for our national Teen title as Miss Teen Connecticut.

(From IMDB.com) Taylor Gildersleeve is an actress, TV host, and model who graduated from Columbia University majoring in Film Studies. She began acting professionally at the age of thirteen when she originated the role of “Sydney Harris” on ABC’s “All My Children” in 2005. She acted in 38 episodes and portrayed an original character that the show based around her surprisingly comedic screen test for the dramatic role of “Colby Chandler”. Taylor appeared on NBC’s “Law and Order” in the role of “Lauren Claiborne” in 2008. She then appeared in TV commercials for Subway’s “Five Dollar Foot Longs”, and then starred in the TV pilot “Wingman”, in which she played a lead role of “Brooke”. That same year, she also starred in the independent film, “Recess” directed by Davyde Wachell, where she portrayed troubled teen “Victoria”.

In 2009, Taylor won the pageantry title of Miss New York Teen USA 2009 and continued on to compete in the Miss Teen USA 2009 pageant. That same year, she appeared on NBC’s “30 Rock” in the role of actress, “Archeria”.

 

In 2010, Gildersleeve joined the cast of ABC’s “One Life to Live” in a recurring role as dancer, “Leah Valeria”. Later that year, she starred in Alloy Entertainment’s teen series, “Haute and Bothered” as one of the leads, “Clare Shanley”. Later that year, she worked on CW’s” Gossip Girl” in the the role of “Tiffani”, and then she landed a role in the comedic feature film directed by Chris Neslon “Ass Backwards”, which premiered at Sundance 2013. That summer, Taylor won the pageantry title of Miss Teen Connecticut-World 2010 and competed nationally for the title of Miss Teen United-States World 2010. Shortly after, she landed a role on CBS’ “Blue Bloods”, and then appeared in several episodes of NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”.

In 2011, Taylor booked the role of Columbia student, “Sasha” in the CBS drama from executive producer Robert DeNiro, “NYC 22”.

In the summer of 2012, Taylor starred in and hosted Lorne Michaels’ (SNL, 30 Rock, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon) comedy series, “Cool Kids’ Table” in the role of “Blake”. The show featured various celebrity guest stars who would sit down at the “Cool Kids’ Table” and chat with hosts, Taylor (Blake) and Juliette Monaco (Kenzie). Later that summer, Taylor landed roles in two feature films: Nicole Gomez Fisher’s “Sleeping with the Fishes” in the role of “Summer”, and award winning director Kevin Asch’s Affluenza in the role of “Beth”. In the fall of 2012, Taylor portrayed “April O’Neil” from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Jimmy Fallon, Lorne Michael’s and Dan Opsal’s series “Sugar Boy” in the episode “Once Upon a Love” featuring Kyle MachLachlan. She then appeared in the CBS American Crime drama, “Person of Interest”, where she co-starred in the role of “Gabi”. Later that year, Taylor played the role of “Bond Girl” in Nancy Savoca’s film for Scenarios USA, “The Tale of Timmy Two Chins”. She then co-starred in Justin Daly’s feature film, Douglas Brown in the role of German-speaking “Brigitte”.

In 2013, Taylor landed a recurring role in a new MTV sketch comedy series,”Hey Girl” directed by Michael Showalter. She portrayed various characters in comedic sketches. Later that year, she booked a lead role of socialite “Mary Roth” in Dena Hysell’s indie horror-thriller feature, “The Factory”.

In 2014, she landed the guest role of “Anna McGraw” in CBS’ crime drama “Unforgettable”, and then booked the role of “Kristin” in Dan Jenski’s feature film, “ADDicted”. She most recently portrayed the life of “Laura Gorman” as a lead in a stand-alone episode of MTV’s new drama series, “One Bad Choice”. In the summer of 2014, Taylor began shooting the lead role of “Kara Jones” in the independent feature film “Sugar Baby” opposite legendary actor Peter Strauss.
